Floriculture - 180,000 litre insulated tanks

Floriculture.

The cut flower market has an insatiable demand to pristine blooms in peak condition. To supply this demand, market growers have to arrange near perfect growing conditions.

One of these conditions is a constant temperature inside the glass houses. With acres of growing space under glass this is a huge challenge. Leading Victorian growers “Boon Roses” and “Piovillica flowers” have both commissioned Austank to build 180,000 litre insulated tanks to supply constant hot water.

These tanks were designed and built by Austank in their Melbourne facility and the transported by road to the nurseries and installed.

The single skin tanks were wrapped in 150mm of Rockwool insulation and encased in an  external skin of corrugated steel.

Protect Your Resources and the Environment in NSW, NT, WA, or QLD with Austank's Self Bunded Fuel Tanks

Protect Your Resources and the Environment in NSW, NT, WA, or QLD with Austank's Self Bunded Fuel Tanks. It is no secret that Australia's conditions are tough on equipment and machinery — but it's tough on structures, too. Over time, exposure to repeated variations between extremes, combined with local conditions can cause deterioration and corrosion. When a fuel tank undergoes weathering and weakening, this deterioration poses a danger not only to people but also to the environment. Ultimately the finances of your business or agricultural operation are at risk, too. Whether you need to store fuel in remote areas on a cattle station, aviation fuel, or diesel for equipment and vehicles, using a durable tank is crucial.
