Removal of tanks

Tank Removal

Removal of both above ground and under ground tanks as per Australian Standards and E.P.A. guidelines, including pipe work and contaminated soil. Austank has been involved in the decommissioning, removal and disposal of old domestic oil tanks, above ground fuel tanks and under ground fuel tanks – all in accordance with AS 4976,  EPA Guideline 888, Australian Institute of Petroleum Code of Practice CP22  and local council authority guidelines.

Soil Samples are monitored for Hydrocarbons during the excavation. This allows us to follow the plume without the unnecessary removal of local soil, thus keeping costs to a minimum. These samples are tested by a third party NATA certified laboratory prior to back fill.

Water and sludge removal is also a service that is supplied by our Site Teams.

Protect Your Resources and the Environment in NSW, NT, WA, or QLD with Austank's Self Bunded Fuel Tanks. It is no secret that Australia's conditions are tough on equipment and machinery — but it's tough on structures, too. Over time, exposure to repeated variations between extremes, combined with local conditions can cause deterioration and corrosion. When a fuel tank undergoes weathering and weakening, this deterioration poses a danger not only to people but also to the environment. Ultimately the finances of your business or agricultural operation are at risk, too. Whether you need to store fuel in remote areas on a cattle station, aviation fuel, or diesel for equipment and vehicles, using a durable tank is crucial.
